The appointment will be from 1st January 2013 and is a permanent position based at the Millport Marine Station on the Isle of Cumbrae. You will have a PhD in a Biological Science and relevant postdoctoral experience and an excellent publication track record in marine ecology, fisheries and/or taxonomy. Candidates in other fields of marine biology will be considered, but an ability to make full use of the geographical location and excellent infrastructure at Millport, which includes ships and scientific diving services, is essential.The successful candidate will be expected to provide academic leadership to staff at the Millport Marine Station, reporting to the Director of the Scottish Oceans Institute (SOI), University of St Andrews. You will be supported to establish an active research group at Millport and will be a staff member of SOI-St Andrews and the School of Biology.
