Vacancy Details: The Sea Mammal Research Unit at the University of St Andrews has a vacancy for a Marine Mammal Biologist to work on a project dealing with effects of naval sonar on marine mammals. We are looking for a knowledgeable and highly motivated post-doctoral scientist to participate in a research programme using sound-and-behaviour recording tags to study responses of cetaceans to controlled exposures of naval sonar sounds in southern California waters. The post is funded under a grant from the US Naval Postgraduate School for a total of 12 months and forms part of a wider study involving a range of academic, government, and industrial partners.
