PostDoc – Plankton Ecology

The Menden-Deuer lab, at the University of Rhode Island’s Graduate School of Oceanography invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position. The research project combines theoretical and empirical approaches to investigate planktonic predator-prey interactions.

Appointment: The position is for 12-months, commencing September 1, 2011 with the possibility of yearly renewal depending on performance. The successful candidate will receive training in research collaboration, presentation and publication of results, and outreach and mentoring. Tidal Thames Conservation Project Manager

The Zoological Society of London’s (ZSL) Marine & Freshwater Conservation Programme seeks to bring direct and sustained conservation benefits to marine, coastal and freshwater wildlife and their habitats. ZSL is looking to recruit a dynamic individual to act as Project Manager of the Tidal Thames Conservation Project. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, managing and promoting a coherent set of conservation projects that will contribute to the conservation of the Thames Estuary, its wildlife and their habitats. These include the projects ‘Out of Sight, Out of Mind’ – the conservation of the European Eel and ‘Save our Seals’ – conservation of the Thames harbour seal populations, as well on-going fish and invasive species monitoring programmes.
