Position Summary:

The Renaissance Computing Institute (RENCI) at the University of North Carolinaat Chapel Hill conducts research into the impacts of severe weather such astropical cyclone generated winds, precipitation, storm surge and flooding.. This includes, but is not limited to FEMA-sponsored coastal inundation analyses,forecasting for coastal and inland flooding in North Carolina, and climatechange/sea level rise studies. RENCI is currently seeking a qualified researcherto help lead the development, implementation, and execution of large modelingsystems for coastal, meteorological, and hydrological projects. Five New Faculty Positions in Water-related Sciences

The School of Environment and Sustainability (SENS) at the University of Saskatchewan (U of S) invites applications for up to five full-time tenure-track faculty positions at the level of assistant, associate, or full professor. The successful candidates will join a core interdisciplinary science and modelling team to support the development of a $30-million research programme within the University’s new Global Institute for Water Security (under development) led by Canada Excellence Research Chair in Water Security (CERC) Howard Wheater. This exciting initiative builds on a long history of national leadership in hydrology, aquatic toxicology and other water-related expertise at the U of S that includes more than 65 faculty and 5 research chairs, and world-class facilities such as the Centre for Hydrology, the Toxicology Centre, and the Canadian Light Source synchrotron.
