Oferta de observadores Pesqueros en Azores (Portugal)

La Universidad de Azores busca observadores que acompañen a las tripulaciones de los barcos atuneros dentro del Programa de Observación de Pesca de las Azores (POPA).

Funciones:
-Monitorizar la mayor parte de la flota atunera para evitar mortalidad, daños o persecución intencionada de cetáceos.
-Observación y recogida de datos científicos de especies marinas.
-Recogida de datos relativos a la pesca y datos ambientales.

Se ofrece:
-Contrato mínimo de 3 meses con una remuneración mensual de 1100 euros.
-Alojamiento y manutención.

La pesca es de mayo a octubre y se dará prioridad a los candidatos que puedan estar durante todo el proceso.

Ph.D. position in Natural Science specialising Biology placed at the Department of Zoology, Animal Ecology

Research area:
Migration patterns and genetic differentiation in sea trout on the west coast of Sweden.

The PhD student will work in an interdisciplinary project with the overall aim to achieve a better knowledge of migration patterns and marine home-ranges in Sea trout (Salmo trutta), and to what extent different populations coexist at sea.

We are looking for a biologist with the following basic qualifications interested in doing a PhD in animal ecology:

1. Applicants should have an academic degree at advanced level,
2. should have fulfilled course requirements up to at least 240 credits, including at least 60
credits at advanced level, or
3. should in other ways have gained corresponding knowledge in or outside Sweden. Sigue leyendo

Senior Lecturer in Marine Ecology

The department of Marine Ecology has about 90 employees working in three very inspiring places of great natural beauty: the Botany house, situated within the Botanical garden in Gothenburg, and at the University of Gothenburg’s two research station at Kristineberg and Tjärnö. The Depart-ment has a strong and internationally recognized research profile within both basic and applied research. The research is organized in eight research areas: Chemical ecology, Fish, shellfish and aquaculture, Functional and structural dynamics in benthos, Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) and conservation biology, Molecular ecology, evolution and genomics, Pelagic ecology, Stress and global change biology, Theoretical ecology and modelling.
